Miranda Lambert to perform at the CMA Awards

Whether or not she wins one of the nine awards that she’s been nominated for from the Country Music Association, Miranda Lambert will be taking the stage…to perform.

She along with Blake Shelton, Dierks Bentley, Kenny Chesney, Lady Antebellum, the Zac Brown Band and Alan Jackson will all be performing at the 44th Annual CMA Awards on Nov. 10.

Country’s biggest night will, once again, be hosted by Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley.

Miranda Lambert receives 9 CMA Award nominations

Miranda Lambert is making CMA history this year with a total of nine awards nominations, which is the most ever for a female artist.

Her nomination categories include single of the year (for both “The House That Built Me” and “White Liar”); music video of the year (for both “The House That Built Me” and “White Liar”); song of the year (for “White Liar”); entertainer of the year; female vocalist of the year; album of the year (for Revolution); and musical event of the year (for “Bad Angel”with Jamey Johnson).

Of course, she’s also got some stiff competition. In the entertainer of the year category–arguably the most important category of the event–she’s joined by Lady Antebellum, Brad Paisley, Keith Urban and the Zac Brown Band.

2010 Lilith Fair brings along Miranda Lambert

Miranda Lambert is one of dozens of amazing female performers who have already confirmed to participate in the 2010 Lilith Fair. She represents a strong country presence in this year’s tour that also includes Loretta Lynn, Martina McBride, and Sugarland.

The Lilith Fair was founded in 1996 by the award-winning Canadian singer Sarah McLachlan, and is still the only event on the festival circuit that features an all-female line-up almost exclusively.  Artists come from all musical genres and across generations, with this year’s roster including everyone from Heart and The Bangles to Jill Scott and Mary J. Blige, and Colbie Caillat and Cat Power to Kelly Clarkson and Selena Gomez. Line ups vary by city, so check the Lilith Fair official website for the full schedule.

You can catch Miranda in four of the cities on the Lilith tour: San Diego, CA (7/7), Los Angeles, CA (7/10), Denver, CO (7/13), and Indianapolis, IN (7/20). Until then, get your Miranda Lambert tickets to see her on the road now through the end of April.
