Miranda Lambert lands multiple Grammy noms
In a move that shows that country music has “arrived” to the mainstream, the Grammy nominations have graced country cutie Miranda Lambert with four nods.
Lambert received nominations for Best Female Country Vocal Performance for her single “The House That Built Me,” Best Country Collaboration with Vocals for “Bad Angel” with Jamey Johnson and Dierks Bentley, and Best Country Album for Revolution. “The House That Built Me” was also nominated for Song Of The Year, although the award goes to the songwriters and not Lambert.
“It feels good to be nominated for a Grammy at all, but three is so special,” Miranda gushed. “It’s such a prestigious awards show. It’s mattered so much in just all music, especially for country right now, because I think we’re finally out there. We’re finally where people are paying attention to country music, and we’re part of the world of music now. We’re not out by ourselves anymore.”
